The Indianola School Board met in regular session Monday evening. The board considered a request from associates around the district to provide them with laptops. The administration purchased Chromebooks for associates to use on a per case basis, and agreed to continue to monitor the situation for a solution. The board appointed Ken Bresnan as the delegate to the Iowa Association of School Boards, approved a change to the Algebra II curriculum to have each part of the course count as a single credit, and received a report from the board facilities and finance committees. The board also continued work on bond refinancing, and since 2016, the board has saved over $5.3 million dollars in interest payments.
